The Future is Electric: Where to Recharge your EV

A forecast suggests that by 2035, more than half of all passenger vehicles will be electric. That along with the news that earlier this year, the US automobile giant General Motors and Audi, announced that they aim to stop selling petrol-powered and diesel models by the same year.

Anticipating a world dominated by electric vehicles, also proposes another problem. Where to charge them. That’s where Oscar comes in. Charging EVs can seem more confusing than refuelling petrol and diesel cars, but it’s getting easier… We plan to have EV charging stations at multiple locations throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane by the end of 2022!

This means that you will be able to have the highly convenient bonus of being able to charge at work, whilst you’re doing your shopping, going to the gym, the cinema, getting a haircut – you name it. This way, it’s not necessary to fully charge your battery at your destination, and frequent top-ups mean that you don’t run low or have to wait while your battery recharges from empty.

You will be able to use the Share With Oscar real time map on our app to find destinations that offer charging stations. It lets you see live availability of parking spots with charge points and plan in advance to make your life easier.
