Around 45,000 staff and students attend the UNSW Kensington Campus each day! That means, parking is VERY hard to find, especially during UNSW semester.

There are timed parking zone for 1 – 2 hours on Barker street and surrounding streets.
Botany Street (Gate 11) has timed parking metres at 1-2 hours.
Next to the western campus Parking on Anzac Parade.
Short-term paid 2 hour parking is also available via most entrance gates.
There are onsite locations for staff parking and PhD students (who can apply for parking permits), however these permits are often limited.
There is casual parking is available on the upper floors of Barker St Car Park (Gate 14) and Botany St Car Park (Gate 11).
Rates are normally $7.50 per hour but VIP spaces are available to book on the Share with Oscar app for just $4.50 per hour.

You may prefer to lock in a permanent parking spot and save yourself the trouble of having to think about parking every day. On-campus parking at UNSW is free on weekends and public holidays and after 7:30pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
Alternatively, limited free street parking is available with 1 hour to 2 hour time limits. But be careful, the parking rangers are very active in the Kingsford, Kensington and Randwick Area.
There are a few all day parking streets such as Day Ave behind Anzac Parade, as well as the bottom of High Street, but if you arrive after 8:30AM, you can pretty much forget about trying there!
If you are traveling to UNSW via Central Station, you can catch the 891, 893 or 898 bus to campus from Central station. The wait in the bus line might take anywhere between 10 to 20 minutes. Make sure you budget this additional time into your journey.
If you’re traveling to UNSW via Green Square, you can catch the 370 bus at Botany Rd opp Green Square station. The travel is usually anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes.
The light rail construction which began in November 2016 is scheduled to be completed in 2020 This has caused significant delays along Anzac Parade.
